Earlier this week I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season from Starbucks and it was heavenly. That is my favorite coffee drink to enjoy in the fall and one I wish that I could get there year round. If you do not like pumpkin you should try one of Starbucks other fall flavors because they are all amazing. What is your favorite? I hope you all are enjoying your Sunday afternoon. Drink a latte and enjoy some football! 🙂
Fall Favorites Day 6 – Football
For those of you that know me, you know that football is my favorite sport to watch. Throughout summer, I cannot wait for fall to get here because I want football to start again. From college football to the NFL I watch it all, but NFL is my favorite. I have been a major New England Patriots fan for years and I love spending my Sunday afternoons watching the game. For college, I mostly cheer for the Gamecocks although my friend Courtney is determined to convert me to an Alabama fan..haha! Who are your favorite teams??
Fall Favorites Day 5 – Weekends in Asheville, North Carolina
This past week one of my close friends surprised me by visiting from Ohio and we spent part of the weekend enjoying fall in Asheville, North Carolina. For those of you who have never been, Asheville is beautiful in the fall and has a lot of fun things to do. From visiting the Biltmore Estate to enjoying hiking and bike trails there is fun activities for the whole family so be sure to add Asheville to your list of fall destinations! 🙂
Fall Favorites Day 4 The Pumpkin Patch
Earlier my friend Josie took her daughter Lydia to a pumpkin patch and this picture was just too cute not to share. Visiting a pumpkin patch can be a fun outing for the entire family, and pumpkins are a must have for fall decor so add this to your list of things to do before the month of October ends! 🙂
Fall Favorites Day 3 – Mom’s Molasses Bread
Every Wednesday during the month of October I am going to post one of my favorite fall recipes. Today I am going to share my mom’s famous molasses bread. It is delicious and not officially fall until I have had some. It goes great with a cup of your favorite coffee! Hope you enjoy! Do you have a favorite fall recipe?
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
1/2 cup milk
2/3 cup soft margarine
2 eggs
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons ginger
Bake in a 9×13 greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
Fall Favorites Day 2 – The Cleveland County Fair
Each year in Shelby, North Carolina the fall season always kicks off with The Cleveland County Fair. It is the largest county fair in the state and people come from all over to enjoy the fun. Since the fair began in 1924 the theme has always been to celebrate city and farm life coming together through such popular attractions as agricultural exhibits, livestock, carnival rides, stage shows, stock car racing, tractor pulls, and demolition derbies. Starting from the time I was a little girl to now it has always been tradition to go the fair at least once in October. The fair provides fun for all ages, and for kids the best part about the fair might be the rides. However, as an adult I now go for the food. The fair experience is not complete without the sweet goodness of a funnel cake, or the famous Alston Bridges Barbecue. So if you live in the area I highly recommend that you spend an evening at the fair. It is happening until October 7th and you can find more information by visiting their website here.

Happy Sunday my friends! I hope you all are having an awesome weekend. One of my favorite blog friends Ashley started a blog party each week called “Sunday Social,” and I decided it was time to join in on the fun. 🙂
I’m linking up today for Sunday Social with Neely and Ashley. This week it’s all about the internet!
1. What is the first website you log onto each day?
Gmail followed by Facebook and Twitter 🙂
2. Give us some funny websites you visit that we need to know about
I think that Awkward Family Photos is hilarious! You should check it out for a good laugh!
3. Pinterest or Facebook? Why?
I love them both, but I like Facebook the best because it allows me to stay better connected with friends.
4. Twitter or Instagram?
Definitely Twitter! I do not have an Instagram account.
5. Favorite youtube video…post it!
This is a hard one because it changes weekly for me. This week my friend Rebecca shared with me a “Call Me Maybe” cover video done by US Army soldiers in Afghanistan. It is so funny! I love it!
