Fall Favorites Day 10 – Apple Pie
Apple pie is one of my favorite fall desserts. It tastes great with a cup of apple cider or coffee. Below is the recipe! 🙂
Ingredients:
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
8 granny smith apples – peeled, cored, and sliced
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, white sugar and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer.
- Place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples, mounded slightly. Cover with a lattice work crust. Gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does not run off.
- Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Continue baking for 35 to 45 minutes, until apples are soft.

Fall Favorites Day 8 – Fall Television Shows
One of my favorite things about fall is the return of my favorite televisions shows. Some of my favorite shows right now are:
Dancing With The Stars All-Stars
I am trying to limit my television time these days but I enjoy these shows on Monday and Tuesday evenings. What are your favorite shows right now??
Sunday Social
Happy Sunday my friends! I hope you all are having an awesome weekend. I decided to link up today for Sunday Social with Neely and Ashley. This week it’s all about fall. I am currently doing a series called “31 Days of Fall Favorites” so for this one I will give you my top 5 from posts this week.
1. Football – Go Patriots!!
Read more about these in my previous posts from the week and check back tomorrow as I continue my series on fall favorites! 🙂
Fall Favorites Day 7 – Pumpkin Spice Latte
Earlier this week I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season from Starbucks and it was heavenly. That is my favorite coffee drink to enjoy in the fall and one I wish that I could get there year round. If you do not like pumpkin you should try one of Starbucks other fall flavors because they are all amazing. What is your favorite? I hope you all are enjoying your Sunday afternoon. Drink a latte and enjoy some football! 🙂
Fall Favorites Day 6 – Football
For those of you that know me, you know that football is my favorite sport to watch. Throughout summer, I cannot wait for fall to get here because I want football to start again. From college football to the NFL I watch it all, but NFL is my favorite. I have been a major New England Patriots fan for years and I love spending my Sunday afternoons watching the game. For college, I mostly cheer for the Gamecocks although my friend Courtney is determined to convert me to an Alabama fan..haha! Who are your favorite teams??
Fall Favorites Day 5 – Weekends in Asheville, North Carolina
This past week one of my close friends surprised me by visiting from Ohio and we spent part of the weekend enjoying fall in Asheville, North Carolina. For those of you who have never been, Asheville is beautiful in the fall and has a lot of fun things to do. From visiting the Biltmore Estate to enjoying hiking and bike trails there is fun activities for the whole family so be sure to add Asheville to your list of fall destinations! 🙂
Fall Favorites Day 4 The Pumpkin Patch
Earlier my friend Josie took her daughter Lydia to a pumpkin patch and this picture was just too cute not to share. Visiting a pumpkin patch can be a fun outing for the entire family, and pumpkins are a must have for fall decor so add this to your list of things to do before the month of October ends! 🙂
